This work aims to be a tribute to Jorge Manrique and especially to his work: «Coplas por la muerte de su padre».
This watercolor shows the backwater of a river that passes calmly through an idyllic landscape, with a tranquility typical of the middle section that it crosses, something similar to the tranquility and calm that the years give to people and that make life continue to flow, but our attitude towards it is more serene and calm as we become more aware of the value and meaning that life really has, which makes us more prepared to assimilate that, like the river, it must inevitably flow into the sea, we have to end in death and although the river and our life end, they do not disappear, they simply transform into something different.
